J.D. Wilhide
Senior Wildlife Biologist

J.D. is our senior wildlife biologist with more than 25 years of experience working with endangered species, especially the Indiana bat. He is a native of Arkansas where he earned a B.S. in Wildlife Management, M.S. in Biology, and Specialist in Community College Teaching (SCCT) in Education. He has also earned 30+ hours toward his Ph.D. in Environmental Sciences. As a project manager,
J.D. oversees all aspects of bat and coal permitting projects which includes endangered species Section 7 consultations concerning the conservation and management of those species. During his time off he enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle, their four daughters, three grandchildren, two dogs and a cat.
